In collaboration with INI Design Studio, we conceptualized and developed exhibit designs for District Science Centres across Panchmahal, Mahisagar, Aravalli, and Dahod. With a gallery space of 240 sq. mt., each centre is divided into three thematic zones: Biosciences, Science in Day-to-Day Life, and Culture & Science. The focus is to make science relatable and culturally resonant, by integrating local wildlife, indigenous knowledge systems, and traditional handicrafts into the storytelling. This approach allows learners—especially from rural and semi-urban backgrounds—to see science not as abstract, but as something rooted in their own environment and daily lives.
Exhibits are designed to be interactive, educational, and experiential, using models, digital media, tactile displays, and local materials to create a stimulating atmosphere. Each gallery invites visitors to observe, question, and experiment, reinforcing scientific thinking while celebrating regional identity. These centres serve not just as educational spaces but as community hubs for curiosity and exploration, cultivating scientific awareness in a way that is inclusive, engaging, and meaningful to the people they serve.
