Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Centre

In collaboration with INI Design Studio, we curated and designed the content and exhibits for the Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Centre to celebrate the monumental journey of one of India’s most visionary engineering marvels. The centre aims to educate visitors on the technological brilliance and environmental significance of the dam through immersive storytelling and interactive displays. The experience begins with the story of the dam’s construction, showcasing engineering innovation, its impact on irrigation, power generation, and canal systems, and the transformation it brought to the lives of people in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

To enhance visitor engagement, each zone is curated with multi-sensory experiences, digital interactives, scaled models, and alternative viewing points of the dam. Special emphasis is placed on biodiversity and community impact, while tailored content ensures accessibility across age groups. A detailed visitor journey map supports exploration, while the exhibit design encourages learning, reflection, and connection with the region’s ecological and cultural fabric. The centre is not just an educational facility but a tribute to India’s engineering legacy, aimed at fostering awareness and appreciation for sustainable development.
